This is for a part-time, per-Diem position (with a potential to Full time)for a sleep technologist/technician to obtain high quality polysomnography data and score overnight sleep studies in children and adults. This position is for an established facility which would focus on children mainly but would also provide care for adult patients. There is a potential for full time position based on the performance and experience.
A perfect candidate must have A-Step completed or in process of completion, obtain registered polysomnographic technologist (RPSGT), holds a valid state license, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have experience with both adult and pediatric patients. The successful candidate should also have a track record of providing good quality sleep studies, with ability to troubleshoot problems and critical thinking, and great customer service.

The main features of the position include:
-Have completed A-step or in process of completion of it.
-Either completed a sleep technology program associated with state license or successful completion of an accredited sleep technologist program leading to a certificate or associate degree with an emphasis on sleep technology.
-Registered polysomonography technologist with valid state license
-Eligibility to work in US
-Have experience with pediatric and adult patients
-At least 1-2 year unsupervised experience in acquiring polysomnography data,
-CPR training/ BLS certification
- HIPPA complaint
-Review procedure requests, clinical chart, and study protocols. Identify special needs.
-Apply electrodes according to AASM standards. Ensure proper signals.
-Calibration of channels and trouble shoot signals and software.
-Perform routine mask fitting for CPAP & educate patient for PAP titration.
-Perform sleep testing following protocols. Document observations and implement appropriate interventions.
-Score records using AASM protocols
-Perform routine equipment maintenance
- Excellent bedside manners, excellent patient communication, troubleshoot equipment and devices, communicate with the vendor to resolve problems with software, cleaning and proper maintenance/care of equipment, inventory maintenance, etc.
- Ability to make patients feel at ease, take initiative to rectify their complaints.
